      Walking plays a critical role in an integrated transport system, while improving health, liveability, and environmental outcomes. Whether on foot (including running), moving with the help of a mobility device like a wheelchair, or pushing a child in a pram, walking is an important part of life for everyone. For most people, walking forms part of every trip. As a registered participant, you are required to participate in a one hour pre-course session before attending the course, as well as complete the pre-course assignment.

      The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) wants to make walking an easy choice for everyone, every day. This Queensland-specific training course equips participants to review, assess, plan, and design  safe, accessible, and connected walking infrastructure to help achieve this vision.
