About this course
An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable medical device used to analyse a person's heart rhythm and deliver an electric shock, known as defibrillation, if necessary. AEDs are commonly used during cardiac arrest emergencies to restore a normal heart rhythm and increase the chances of survival. They are designed to be user-friendly, with visual and audio prompts to guide bystanders in their use until medical professionals arrive.
In this course you will watch three videos about the LIFEPAK CR2 Defibrillator and complete a short assessment to test your knowledge. After you’ve finished the course, you will be able to apply the skills you have learnt to use the LIFEPAK CR2 Defibrillator in an emergency situation.
