Manager Mental Ill Health training

Mental ill health is on the increase in Australia. These conditions often have an impact on the personal and work lives of people who have them, their friends, family members, and colleagues. This multi-layered program has been created and designed to achieve the following overall outcomes for the organisation, anyone with people management responsibilities and team members:

  1. To educate all employees about mental ill health, at a level appropriate to their organisational role.
  2. To further breakdown stigma that can be associated with experiencing a mental health condition.
  3. To provide all participants with an increase in confidence about having effective mental health conversation.
  4. To increase trust and mutual accountability between all participants.
  5. To provide information about the legislative obligations, rights and responsibilities appropriate to the participant's role.
  6. To provide all participants with tools, strategies and information about how to enhance and maintain personal resilience.
  7. To support the organisation as they develop and implement a mental health culture, strategy, policy and risk assessment process.

Some of the content can be confronting, and a small number of participants may be triggered during the session or workshop. Learning activities include knowledge sharing, reflection, group discussions, group brainstorming, participating in small group role plays and whole group debriefs.

Please note registration is only open to staff who are in a management role with direct reports.
