Accessibility and Inclusion at TMR - REFRESHER

About this course

TMR is committed to becoming a world leader in the provision of accessible and inclusive transport information, products, services and infrastructure. We want to be an accessible and inclusive employer of choice. To fulfill this commitment, we all have a role to play.

This mandatory course aims to build your awareness of what accessibility and inclusion at TMR means. It is designed to help all TMR staff to:

  • Become familiar with basic legal obligations under anti-discrimination and disability legislation
  • Identify and apply accessibility and inclusion principles
  • Use practical strategies to embed accessibility and inclusion in day-to-day work activities
  • Describe the difference between minimum compliance and functional outcomes.

This course has been designed as an applied learning experience. It contains real world scenarios and reflective activities to encourage you to apply the content to your individual work role and environment. Throughout the course you will have access to an individual learning journal.

Your responses to the reflective activities will automatically be entered into your learning journal. You can edit your responses at any time and also add other key-takeaways and learnings. The journal can be saved and printed at the end of the course and used as a resource for you on your accessibility and inclusion journey. A glossary and additional resources are provided in the course to complement the core content.
