While safety is everyone’s responsibility, Managers and Supervisors have responsibilities under the Workplace Health and Safety Act of 2011 (the Act). As a Manager or Supervisor, you are responsible for the local implementation and management of work health and safety in accordance with (the Act) and TMR WHS policies and procedures.

The Corporate Workplace Health, Safety, and Rehabilitation (WHSR) team are excited to bring your team the WHSR Manager Capability training. The training is specifically tailored to cover topics relevant to managers and supervisors working across TMR. 

The 2hr in person session will cover:

• the Work Health and Safety Act 2011
• the responsibilities as a manager or supervisor
• the differences between a hazard and a risk
• the completion of a risk assessment based on a real-life scenario identifying hazards and controls
• an incident investigation based on the scenario
• an introduction to Integrum – TMR’s online reporting system
• the rehabilitation and claims management process based on the scenario.
