Guidelines for Contract Administrators, Project Managers and Infrastructure Procurement Specialists

Effective contract administration is essential for the successful completion of a construction project.

This starts with selecting the correct contract type for the project criteria, proper procurement method and appropriate tender evaluation methodology.

The Contract Administrator's dual role as an agent of TMR and an independent certifier can be problematic due to the competing nature of these functions.  Consequently, the Contract Administrator's actions can expose TMR to unnecessary risk if not carried out properly.

The Department has published various manuals that provide guidance in all these aspects for use by Contract Administrators, Project Managers and Infrastructure Procurement Specialists.  This eBriefing introduces what manuals are available, their general content and where to find them.
