Environment and Cultural Heritage Governance

The Environment and Cultural Heritage Governance eLearn course will help you to understand your responsibilities and empower you to champion a best practice approach to manage the environmental and cultural heritage impacts of our infrastructure projects.

There are three (3) modules in the Environment and Cultural Heritage Governance eLearn course.

Each module runs for approximately 15 minutes.

Information

Module 1 – Working together to achieve compliance:

Build your awareness of the risks to the Department and understand why compliance is required. Understand your responsibilities and who can assist you to understand and manage environment and cultural heritage impacts. 15 minutes.

Module 2 – ECH Governance and Reporting:

Develop an informed understanding of the governance framework and compliance requirements for environment and cultural heritage. 15 minutes.

Module 3 – TMR Environment Management System and Key Resources:

Learn how the Environmental Management System and other key resources support your day-to-day duties in managing environment and cultural heritage compliance. 15 minutes.

Course outline

  • Know who can assist you and when and why they are required
  • Identify how your actions can achieve and promote legislative compliance and a best practice approach
  • Know what documents provide guidance and templates for recording your decisions and actions in managing impacts, monitoring performance and reporting compliance requirements.

  • Project Managers, Managers, Supervisors and Senior Officers.

Prerequisites

  • No prerequisites. This course builds on the knowledge from the Environment and Cultural Heritage Induction course.
